We have a had a lovely time and lots of happy memories to take us through the cold nights ahead.
This is Cragside in Northumberland and just about my favourite of all the National Trust places we have have visited this year. The grounds we beautiful and the inside of the house was pretty and cozy and full of inventions. I am a fan of William Morris fabrics and papers and the house had it in abundance.
If you are ever in the area I recommend a visit. These are just a few of the photo's OH took whilst we were there.
Never the less he cried and took his bed for the first week or so. I wanted to say things like you should have treated her better and when you said you would pick her up at 7 o 'clock you should have been there and not turn up at 9 and wonder why she was upset or you will get over it etc. But I didn't and slowly with his dad and my help plus his lovely group of friends James, Daryl, Leo to name a few he started to face the world.
Today he has left to return to uni with a smile on his face again after meeting a sweet girl over the last few weeks. They both seem resigned to spending weeks apart and are OK about it. Summer Loving Ah!
The picture I am using for my banner was done by OH. It's a painting he has just finished of a row of houses in Hythe not far from where we live. He is enjoying painting again after several years of hanging his paint brush up.

Lovely photos. I do love visiting National Trust properties. I am glad your son is back on track with his love life! Your OH is an extremely talented painter. It is good that he has taken up painting again. x
