Us and them

Yesterday we went to the O2 Arena formerly known as the Millennium Dome to the Roger Waters concert. It was my first visit to the dome and I was amazed at the size of it. Inside there are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from plus the Tutenkamun Exhibition .

The one thing I didn't enjoy was the fact that people were able to go and get food and alcohol all through the performance. It was a none stop tirade of interruptions. people going up and down the steps in and out of the rows of seats until I just wanted to shout out 'sit down you morons, shut up, why are you here if you don't want to listen to the music'.

Apart from that it was a good evening, He played some of my favourites like Dark side of the moon, Us and them, Comfortably Numb and more.

Thank you Rosie for this insight into the O2 arena.
I shall be going to the Leonard Cohen concert there in July. I am glad that you warned me about the free range audience..! I will have to take some calming pills beforehand as I get so cross in cinemas when people chat and eat noisily thoughout a film. I am always tempted to say.."Why don't you go outside and finish your meal and conversation"..
Roger Waters must have been an amazing concert.. I love the oldies best!

the 'Dome' looks great inside. Isn't that annoying when people drift about and eat and drink when a live artist is performing, it seems lacking in respect somehow. I was at a performance of 'School for Scandal' last year when a mobile phone went off - the person couldn't find it in her huge bag - the actors had to stop and wait until she switched it off - as it was a theatre in the round - everyone could see who the culprit was.

Glad you enjoyed the music though:)

Michele-Hope you enjoy seeing Leonard Cohen. Maybe that audience might be appreciative and intent on eating and drinking as much as possible. There are lots of places to eat before you go in so I dn't see the need.
Rosie- not nice of the person to not to turn their phone off. They ususally remind you at the theatres to do so.
