Sadly on Sun 26th June 10.30pm, the day before she was due to have the bone marrow transplant Melanie passed away aged 11yrs. The funeral is on Tues 5th July and it will be a tough day as her school friends and a lot of the staff will be there for her and her family.  Her dad has been amazing throughout and was able to grant her wishes every time, meeting JLS, Build a Bear party, to meet Tracy Beaker, a trumpet. Her last wish was a big party when she came out of hospital with a fairground ride, candy floss and all her friends. On Tuesday her dad is to have the party according to her wishes with a waltzer and candy floss as a celebration of Mel's life after the funeral. Please read about Mel on her website

On Saturday 23rd July we having a Boot fair/Fun day at Hawkinge Cricket Club.  If you are passing through the Folkestone/Dover area on that day perhaps to the ferry or Eurotunnel then please make a detour and drop in and see us. We hope to make a big event and raise lots of money for the charities who helped Mel and her family, Ray of Sunshine and The Royal Marsden Hospital

Thank you to those who sent me words of support. Please do not worry I am OK but her sadly her family are not!
