Whitstable

Early this week we went to Whitstable again.  I always enjoy a trip to this seaside town. dull of hustle and bustle.  It has lots of shops to browse and one of my favourites is the  bookshop. Inside it is floor to ceiling with every kind of book at discount prices. I cant leave the shop without purchasing several. Even though I have many at home waiting to be read.  This time I bought :-

Divas Don't Knit and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The one by Gil McNeil I had no idea about unitl I started reading. It was the title and the blurb that caught my eye. It turns out it's about a single mum who goes to live not far from Whitstable and take over her grans wool shop and so of local interest. It's an easy read that only took a couple of days to complete. I think it may take longer to read the other one.

We didnt take many photo's as it was rainy and cold and our main reason for the visit was to go and see the proprietor of the Harbour Gallery who is going to stock some OH's prints. We are going back soon so another visit to the bookshop beckons.
Back to work tomorrow after a lovely week at home.

Looks a lovely place and the bookshop sounds fab! 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' is a good read with a slow build up until you can't put it down the 2nd of the millenium trilogy 'The Girl who played with fire' is even more exciting - I've yet to read the third one 'The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest' but hoping to get to it soon:)

I've got Diva's Dont Knit, and I read half of it, then put it down, as I thought it got a bit silly what with the movie star and all that. :) xxxx

Looks lovely :) I really like the Diva book, it's a bit silly but a good light hearted book to read. It's always been my dream to own a wool shop so it makes me very jealous! The 2nd one is just as good. :)

Thanks for the lovely comments. It good to find out what you think about the books.
Diva is a bit silly I suppose but like Joe I would love to have a wool shop and of course it was almost 'local'.
I've just started the other one so was pleased to hear that you guys think it is good. xx
