Last week was a week again of ups and downs. No let me rephrase that again. Last week was a week of mainly downs.
It was a tough time at work from Monday to Wednesday and then on Wednesday evening the snow came and we where stuck in our home for two days. Normally I would have been delighted at this but on Thursday morning I went down with a sickness bug and spent the next few days in bed or the bathroom.
Here a couple of photo's of the abandoned cars on the road next to my house. I live at the top of this hill. We we lucky to get up the hill before it became so difficult that people just left their cars and walked the rest of the way home.
My son thought he might try to get to work on Thursday morning. He managed all of 10 feet up the drive before deciding it would probably take him all day just to get off the drive and on to the main road
Finally, today I am begining to feel a little better and plan to start making a doll for Haiti. Our Stich N' Bitch Group are making them after Sue from Fat Hen and Flo let us know about them. I've never made a rag doll before and am looking forward to it.
Why not have a go yourself. If you go on Sarah's blog you can download the pattern and instructions.

Hi Rosie,
Hope you are having a lovely day. WOW, now that is a lot of snow! I am so ready to spring that I cannot bear this cold anymore.

Oh, dear - hope you are feeling better now - I think staying in and keeping warm and sewing a rag doll is a good way to help you get better. Take care:)
