Yuletide Felicitaions

I haven't exactly made every ones presents for Christmas. For some people I have purchased baskets and put in things I think they might like. The one below is for my youngest sons girlfriend . I know she likes champagne, chocolate and candles. I haven't shown the votive. It's one of several I have decorated for gifts. I will take of photo of some others I have made that are similar.

We called in at Standen on Saturday to see the Christmas decorations again. I love this house as it always seems a warm family home and at Christmas it is decorated just as it was in the 1930.

The food and gift shopping is all now done or as we always say in our house 'the van has arrived'. It start many years ago when we saw 'The Good Life Christmas Special'. Margo Leadbetter's Christmas arrived in van from Harrods. You would have had to have seen it to know what I am babbling on about. My eldest son likes to wish everyone 'Yuletide Felicitations' at this time of the year which is also in the programme. Do you or your family have any traditional sayings. apart from the usual ones that you use at this time of year?
Here the first part of the programme when the van arrives. Moral of the story is that you don't need to spend any money on Christmas it is who you spend your day with that matters.

I'm off to make several dozen mince pies. I would like to thank all of you who have read or commented on my blog thoughout the year. May your van arrive and may you have a very Happy Christmas. xx
