Ugly Betty

I enjoyed 'Ugly Betty' which had it's uk premier yesterday evening on Channel 4. I am informed by the tv critic on GMTV that the actress looks nothing like her character in real life. A couple of good looking actors on it although I have been unable to find out who was the playing the part of the photographer. I am looking forward to next weeks episode. That and having Desperate Housewives back on Wednesdays again. There are a few good things about it being January

I went to my local shopping centre this morning just to buy a few things. It was raining hard and the atmosphere was misty and dank. All around me people were going about doing whatever it was they had ventured out to do. Raincoats abounded, teenagers hurried past with their hoods up and people with umbrella's held out in front of them in an attempt to protect themselves from the rain that was lashing down. Their sad miserable faces giving the impression they would rather be anywhere where they were at that minute. I hurried up and purchased the items I needed and headed back to the car as quickly as I could. I wasn't miserable before I left home but I sure felt it by the time I got back. Nothing that sitting in my cosy sitting room with a book and a few left over chocs from Chistmas won't solve though. Happy weekend folks
