Can colour make a difference?

After reading on my birth date thingy that my power colour is mauve . I've been thinking (dangerous I hear those who know me say) but can wearing a particular colour make a difference to how I feel and act. So starting tomorrow I am going to wear mauve everyday for a few days and see what happens. I do happen to like the colour so it won't be a big problem. Not sure exactly what they mean by a power colour though. I tried Googling it and came up with numerous websites that didn't really explain. But will I be feeling more confident and powerful by going out in that particular colour or as the poem spring to mind, will I just feel like an old woman wearing purple. We will see and I'll keep you posted.
